There Are Infinite Ways to "Skin a Cat"!

Everything in life is negotiable.

Nothing is black and white, it's only perceived to be.

That's because there are infinite ways to "skin a cat"!

And that is why the Universe can deliver what everybody wants even though some of us may perceive that there are contradictions or conflicts.

There are enough variation, and limitless possibilities which allow you to attract whatever you want, even if someone close to you seems to want the opposite.

It's only when you push against it that you are attracting what you DON'T want and hence the conflict.

Wishing you tremendous abundance,

To Forgive is Noble, But Not Having to Forgive is Glorious.

To forgive is a noble virtue, but to never have anything to need to forgive is glorious and divine.

When you think about it, you can only forgive someone for anything if they've hurt or offended you in any way. And if you've been into self development, life coaching or Law of Attraction for a while, then you understand that you are ultimately responsible ("response-ABLE") for how you CHOOSE to feel about any given situation.

So that means someone can only hurt or offend you if you choose to let them. And if you love every one and appreciate everything, then nothing anyone else does can hurt or offend you.

That would then mean that the concept of forgiveness would be a non-issue.

I'm not saying I'm perfect in this regard, but it's certainly something I strive for (I confess: I still have pet peeves with drivers who cut in front of me without signalling!)

Now certainly, if you have allowed yourself to be hurt or offended by anyone, then being able to forgive will benefit you greatly in many ways. You may have heard of the analogy that holding a grudge against someone is like drinking poison in the hopes it will hurt that person!

Whilst we're on that subject, ever heard someone say, "I forgive but I won't forget"? That's equivalent to saying, "I won't take revenge or seek justice, but I'm not forgiving you". In other words, if you're not prepared to forgive AND forget, then you are merely tolerating and not accepting - something for another article. You're just suppressing your grudge, not releasing it.

Where Law of Attraction is concerned, forgiving sooner will help you to allow the circumstances you prefer by not focussing and not pushing against what you don't want.

Better still, be in place where you never feel resentful so you never have to forgive. I think that is a truly enlightened state.

We are running out of resources! The world's economy will collapse!

I'm writing
this blog in response to a question I heard someone ask Abraham-Hicks about the scarcity of resources and how it was hard to believe that Law of Attraction was going to make any difference.

For those who are still new or a little bit skeptical about this New Age abundance concept, let me explain it from a more scientific viewpoint.

Firstly, understanding Law of Attraction means understanding that everything is abundant in life. That is, it is not a zero-sum game with a limited slice of the pie that we all compete for on this Earth, even if it seems that way sometimes. The economists of old used to think our resources were finite, and along with other respected intellectuals, even predicted that the world was going to run out of oil within our lifetime, and hence the economy would face a major collapse. (One of many, many doomsday prophecies by many doomsayers who have come and gone through the centuries and even the decades!)

That was in the early 70's and the energy crisis in the U.S seemed to prove that theory true. After all, most of the major developed countries depended heavily on oil for energy and transportation. But as modern thinkers like author Paul Zane Pilzer, who is an economist and past advisor to the U.S presidency writes, the resources required by the world is never finite.

The doomsayers never took into account advancements in technology. There were hidden oil reserves that later technology was able to discover and even access. That effectively meant that there was more oil than ever before! Advancements in technology didn't just mean finding more oil, but even more efficient ways to use it. Remember the carburettor? That was the lynchpin of the automotive industry until it was made redundant with fuel injection, a technology which almost halved the consumption of fuel. If you need half the fuel to travel the same distance you used to, hasn't that effectively doubled the usable supply of oil again?

So not only are the resources not running out, it appears to be increasing! But let's say hypothetically, that we really had a limited supply of oil which was going to run out in say 10 year's time. That should be short enough for the governments of developed nations to start sweating. What do you think will happen? What do you think will happen to energy efficient hybrid vehicles which are just starting to become accepted by the marketplace, despite being a fringe technology? What do you think will happen to other entrepreneurs and scientists, driven by economic gain in such a time of crisis will do? Certainly a lot more money and creativity will be invested into alternative fuels. That's already happening now! It just requires a major catalyst like the real impending threat of oil shortage to tip it over into mainstream technology.

No matter what happens, our planet and species will flourish. In the contrast of lack of oil, a great "mass summoning" of desire occurs and alternative resources and better ways of finding or using oil will manifest with certainty. Politics may help to slow progress down, but ultimately, when the desire becomes strong enough, solutions will always be found.

The same principle applies with everything else in life, including:
  • Money - it's flowing everywhere, more than ever before. Observe how people are becoming millionaires and billionaires faster and younger than ever before. Whilst many people feel they are struggling, compare the material accumulations of this generation with the modesty of a third world family and you can't help but feel you are overflowing with abundance. Even simply compare with the previous generation. Not only did they NOT have portable music players, second family car, LCD high definition TV sets, a mobile/cell phone for the children as well as the wife, and other luxuries in their time, they would not have been able to afford them at all!
  • Health - you do not have a limited life span where you start going downhills past 40 and deteriorate to death in your 70's. You can live healthy and stay vibrant until you choose to leave this Earth. Diseases and illnesses are all a manifestation of our thoughts, indirect or otherwise.
  • Relationships - too many couples think that a relationship is also a zero-sum game where it's all about "give and take" and "compromise". That's ok if it makes you feel happy to give and take and compromise, but not ok if you're simply "tolerating". That's a recipe for pent-up frustration which inevitably leads to an explosion (or even implosion) at some point. But, that's a topic for a whole other blog!
The message is that even from a scientific viewpoint, our resources are never finite. Humans are clever enough to devise better ways to find and use these resources, as well as turning to other resources if it ever became necessary.

Just over a hundred years ago, oil was not a precious resource. Back then, some even worried that coal was finite and eventually we would run out and suffer...

What makes me the expert on Law of Attraction?

Nothing really.

I don't claim to be an expert. Once I write a (bestselling) book then I will have fun with the 'expert' title, but that still doesn't necessarily make me an expert.

These bloggings are just the inspired sharing of my observations of life with you. One of my main intentions in what I write is to clarify the confusion that some people experience in trying to understand how the Law of Attraction is working in their lives, or, how it appears to be not working.

You might not need me to explain what the Law of Attraction is, but I'm going to anyway!

The Law of Attraction is a powerful universal law / principle which is always affecting everything we experience. Simply put, you attract into your experience whatever you place your attention, energy and focus on.

Furthermore, you attract it whether it's something that is good or bad, whether it's something wanted or unwanted. And that's what confuses people the most about the Law of Attraction. Some assume that it's nothing more than having a positive mental attitude. Certainly a positive attitude goes a lot farther than having a negative one, but if you are still harbouring resistance in one form or another, you can still attract things that you don't want in your life.

For example, some people would ask, if just focusing on what I want will give it to me, how come I haven't won the lottery yet? Whilst most people wouldn't mind winning the lottery, or having a million dollars, the Law of Attraction is responding to your predominant feelings, or "vibrations" for lack of better word. A person who is broke or living in poverty has practiced an attitude of lack. They may buy a lottery ticket with some hope, but the Law of Attraction is responding to their feelings of financial anxiety, of frustration in not being able to afford certain things, of the burden of their debts, rather than their conscious words.

So in worrying about the mountain of bills, their predominant vibration is that of lack, not of wealth and abundance. The Law of Attraction is matching that predominant feeling, not the positive words of hoping to win the lottery or having a million dollars. Of course, if you were to monitor someone's language, as the words you speak are an extension of your thoughts, the predominant choice of positive or negative words would reveal their predominant vibration also. That is, the person living in (an attitude of) lack would predominantly speak more of lack, of financial struggles, of debt, rather than of what it's like to win the lottery or own a million dollars.

So, getting back to what makes me the expert... (apart from nothing,) some of my best sources for my knowledge and inspiration come from the following:
  • The film, "The Secret" which was an underground hit worldwide. Watch it already! Especially the original version (not the "Extended Edition") which features Esther Hicks. The printed book and audio book came out later and does not feature Esther Hicks. This film interviews many teachers, authors, scientists, entrepreneurs and even spiritual leaders to talk about principles which revolve around the Law of Attraction. It became such a hit that it brought awareness of the concepts behind the Law of Attraction to a huge audience around the world. Sure it has it's detractors and critics - it would be dull if it didn't!

  • Abraham-Hicks - Jerry and Esther Hicks official website. For those who aren't into New Age stuff, this might seem weird, but focus on the content and knowledge, rather than how it's delivered. Esther shares wisdom and insights from an entity she refers to as "Abraham", for lack of better description.

  • Michael J. Losier and his book, "Law of Attraction". Michael J. Losier teaches Law of Attraction in a simple, straightforward way without any spiritual or religious references. Because of that, his style appeals a lot to people who don't like the religious or New Age association with the topic, and people who don't like to read a lot as his book is very simple!

  • My kids! Observing how children naturally attract things into their lives when they have yet to learn the resistance that adults are conditioned with are a wonderful way to see "allowing" in action. "Allowing" in this context means to let go of doubt and resistance so that you can easily attract what you want. Of course, they also have their moments when they are resisting (through tantrums, sulking, complaining etc), and it's interesting to then observe how despite wanting to give them what they want, I naturally want to hold back.

  • My relationship with my wife. Having been (happily) married since 1991, I have to attribute all my happiness in my relationship through the positive application of the Law of Attraction, whether I realised it or not at the time. I put the "(happily)" in brackets/parentheses because in the past, we've had our fair share of ups and downs. And looking back in hindsight, I can see that it was the Law of Attraction in action, sometimes applied negatively by default. Basically, since the Law of Attraction is constantly responding to you whether you like it or not, if you don't use it purposely to choose the good things you want, like the majority of people, you will attract by default.

  • Life. Words don't teach - they can only reaffirm what you already know. It is life experiences that truly teach.
So whilst my bank account hasn't quite exceeded Bill Gates' or Donald Trumps balance just yet, I certainly feel extremely blessed for my wife, my children, my friends, and all that I have experienced in life so far and for what I'm living now. I'm excited to see where I'm heading in this exciting journey called life, and if you like to come with me, then I feel privileged and honoured that you've gained something beneficial from what I have to give.

Wishing you tremendous abundance,

-Raphael

PROOF THAT LAW OF ATTRACTION DOESN'T WORK!

Do we really need another blog on Law of Attraction?

I don't really care if we don't.

I'm writing this blog because I want to. And it will serve to help people understand the Law of Attraction better. I have ideas I want to write about and when it matches with those who desire to know and benefit from it, that will be co-creation at its best.

Have you ever wondered why, especially after watching the film "The Secret", that bad things still occur to good people? Why positive people still appear to fall ill, and why innocent people can attract horrible things? Why the million dollars you put out an intention for still hasn't arrived? Or why you're practising the Law of Attraction and thinking positive thoughts whilst your wife or husband still doesn't and still gives you a hard time? Then this blog is for you.

So why the shocking title?

I like to be different! (Plus it's a marketing tactic to get attention. It got yours didn't it?) And there's only two reasons I can think of that would make you respond to it. Either you are a fan of the Law of Attraction and you came here to set me straight! No need to do that. I'm a big fan already and you probably understand that pushing against something negative inadvertently includes it in your vibration and hence attracts more of it.

Or you are a skeptic looking for proof, and you're honestly trying to understand if Law of Attraction really works. You've heard good things, but you've had confusing contradictory experiences. Then this blog is meant for you. Feel free to comment.

(The only other reason you might have found this blog is because you're a friend of mine and I've asked you to check it out. In that case, thank you and please pass it on to someone you feel may need this information).

If you are a negative cynic, who thinks Law of Attraction really doesn't work and is just a bunch of New Age mumbo jumbo, then you wouldn't be looking for this information anyway. By the principles of the Law of Attraction, those who don't believe it will attract all the evidence they need to justify why it doesn't work. It would be futile (and contradictory to the practice of Law of Attraction) to try to convince someone who doesn't believe in it that it actually works.

This blog came about because I hear the confusion from people who earnestly want to understand the Law of Attraction, but can't understand whether it's just encouraging a positive mental attitude despite life being a bitch anyway, or whether all these magical wonderful promises are really true (hopefully).

Feel free to comment and contribute. Feel free to disagree and criticise. I would be contradicting the underlying principles of the Law of Attraction and my own philosophy if I expect everyone to agree with me! (Although as Garfield the cat once said, everyone IS entitled to MY opinion. :)

So, if you are looking for proof that Law of Attraction doesn't work, you'll always be able to find it... but not here.

If you are looking for answers... you will find them... maybe here.

Wishing you tremendous abundance,

-Raphael
